Among the first Certified Family Law Specialists (CFLS) in California, the very first CFLS to sit on any court in California, and the youngest person appointed to the Superior Court and the Court of Appeals, the Honorable Sheila Prell Sonenshone was also on the first State Bar Commission to study gender bias at the court level, and was adamant that the study focused on gender bias against both women and men.
